SIRL
In the Social Issues and Relations Laboratory (SIRL), we aim to understand the impact of stigma on health. Our current studies focus on minority stress and health disparities in sexual and gender minorities and use both quantitative and qualitative designs. Graduate and undergraduate students involved in the lab gain hands on experience conducting survey based research, interviews and coding of transcripts, and online interventions. Students also are active in diversity and inclusion work in the department and across campus.
