Undergraduate psychology students can get involved in the lab by registering for independent study credit (PSYC 4900). For each credit hour, students put in 3 hours weekly in the lab.

Students can gain first-hand experience in conducting research through involvement in tasks such as:

  •      literature reviews and discussion

  •      study development

  •      online survey building

  •      quantitative and qualitative coding

  •      research meetings with collaborators

  •      data management / analysis

  •      conference presentations

Priority is given to undergraduate majors in psychology interested in applying to graduate school and whose interests fit with the topics studied. Successful research assistants are motivated, reliable, and flexible, and can make lab meetings scheduled on Friday afternoons at 2pm at least twice per month.
